What is there for my pet to do?

According to Molson, our Labrador, and Jenny, our Heintz, there are plenty plenty of pet friendly places and things to do on Hilton Head. A favorite is the beach, especially early morning or late evening. As long as they are under voice command you can let them enjoy the surf and sand. Bring a ball or frisbee with you and really let them chase. On caveat: avoid the mid day as it gets a bit too hot for them. 

Another good spot is the "Dog Park" at the Chapin Community Park, located mid island. Here you can really let them run free. There is even a smaller park for the little ones. This is Hilton Head pet friendly at its best. These two parks  are another super spot to allow your best friend to socialize. The Sea Pines Forest Preserve is a great place for a long walk, and they can view all types of wildlife. Just make sure you do not let them go swimming in the lakes. There are alligators living in the waters.

 Since there are miles and miles of bike trails throughout the Island, and there are plenty of gorgeous spots to simply walk. In the evenings both Molson and Jenny enjoy going to Shelter Cove, South Beach or Harbourtown to listen to the free entertainment. The only drawback is they need to be on their leashes. They also enjoy the al fresco dining.

 We hope to see you on the beaches of Hilton Head. Molson is easily recognized: 10 years old, 115 pounds, Black Lab with a red bandana tied around his neck, a pleasant disposition, and always looking for someone to play in the surf. I'll be the one on a leash
